NBA official Facebook page has already decided Golden State Warriors will win Game 7

According to the NBA’s Facebook page, the Golden State Warriors defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in game 7 of the Western Conference Finals is already a done deal.
You know what’s fun? When something random convinces people that the NBA is fixed in some way.
It happened just a few weeks ago when Dikembe Mutombo tweeted congrats to the Philadephia 76ers before they actually won the NBA Draft lottery, and now it’s just happened again. The culprit this time is the NBA’s official Facebook page, as reported by SB Nation.
Take a look:
Yep, the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are starting the NBA Finals on June 2. No need to play Game 7 on Monday after all, I guess!
Maybe whoever runs the Facebook page is just a really big fan of the odds, as the home team has won Game 7 in the NBA Playoffs more than 80 percent of the time over the long history of the Association. This decade, it’s even worse for road teams, which have gone 3-16 so far, and only two road teams have won on the road in the Conference Finals in the 21st century: the Lakers beat the Kings in 2002, and the Pistons defeated the Heat in 2005. That’s it.
It could also just be an honest mistake. But hilariously, as of the time of this post, the event is still up there showing the Warriors advancing, so the NBA doesn’t seem to be all that concerned about this.
I guess if the Thunder need some bulletin board material to help them overcome blowing Game 6 at home, this would be it. They can use the “NBA doesn’t believe in us” card instead of the “nobody believes in us” card, as Bill Simmons might say.
But hey, congrats ahead of time Warriors!
