According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Denver Nuggets are serious in their pursuit of Dwyane wade and have offered him a two-year deal worth over $50 million.

Dwyane Wade is seriously considering a departure from the Miami Heat. The three-time NBA champion is garnering interest from a lot of teams. Oh yeah, and he just got followed by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Twitter.

One team that has expressed serious interest in him has been the Denver Nuggets. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Nuggets have offered Wade a two-year deal worth in excess of $50 million.

The Nuggets would be an interesting fit for Wade. They went 33-49 last season, finishing fourth in the Northwest Division. However, they are a young and talented team who would certainly benefit from the addition of Wade.

Will Barton could give Wade the rest that he needs to stay healthy. Barton and Wade could form a brutally efficient tandem at shooting guard, and Barton could be an option at small forward. He is 6’6″ after all and it would give the Nuggets two potent scorers in the same lineup.

At the end of the day, this is likely just posturing from Wade’s camp. Deep down, he wants to stay in Miami. If he doesn’t get a fair offer from them, he’d most likely want to go to a contender. He already has three rings. Why not go for four? But the Nuggets are a tempting option for Wade regardless.
