Alvaro Morata is unsure of his current role at Real Madrid, and could make a move to the English Premier League.

The Spanish international recently made the move to his former club, Real Madrid, after the Champions League winners bought him back with, thanks to a clause in his Juventus contract. Now, Morata wants to know where he fits in at Madrid. The club currently has one of the best strike force’s in Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo (The BBC) and Morata would better fit in as a back up striker for Benzema.

While at Juventus last season, Morata did struggle to get starting minutes with the play of Paulo Dybala out shining him, but did still play a bigger role with the Bianconeri compared to his time with Los Blancos.

Spanish news outlet, MARCA reported that Morata had a phone interview that lasted two minutes with head coach Zinedine Zidane regarding his future at Madrid. The coach told Morata that he is apart the teams plans and that he hopes to meet with him when he travels to Montreal, where Real Madrid is currently training.

There is a grey area however, as English Premier League side Chelsea have offered €60 million for Morata and their new boss, Antonio Conte, has mentioned to the striker that he would play starting minutes for his team. Having Morata at Chelsea could be beneficial for both Real Madrid and Chelsea. Los Blancos get €60 million for a player they bought back for €30 million, and Chelsea can pair Morata with his countryman Diego Costa, who struggled a lot last season with injuries and finding the back of the net.

If Zidane can find a way to keep Morata and offer him starting minutes in a strong strike force that has dominated in Spain and Europe, than he could likely stay with the team that helped him grow into the player he is today. If not, a move to Chelsea would be very interesting and could make for a lethal duo of Costa and Morata.
