Tuesday’s action kicks off at 7:00PM EST with 15 games of MLB action to review when building your FanDuel MLB rosters!
I will continue to track winning Tournament lineups and compare trends over 5 day periods to help us understand what it takes to remain profitable. I HIGHLY recommend each of you do this each morning to look back on the previous night and understand how the winning lineups are constructed in the games you participate in.
The view below tracks GPP entries over various time periods, breaking out key metrics to understand the trends and compositions of GPP winning rosters:
Time Period | Score | Pitcher Salary | Pitcher % | Hitter % | Hitter $/Player | Value |
Season | 255.8 | $ 8,633 | 25% | 75% | $ 3,296 | 7.31 |
5 Day | 246.4 | $ 8,167 | 23% | 77% | $ 3,354 | 7.04 |
Prev Day | 275.1 | $ 8,900 | 25% | 75% | $ 3,263 | 7.86 |

Next: Who is the top pitching option on Tuesday's Slate?
Marcus Stroman ($7,400) at home versus San Diego: Looking over the Tuesday night pitching options, Stroman jumps out as a great value which will allow us to capture high upside at SP while stacking high-priced bats.
Stroman is a massive home favorite (-215) against a San Diego Padres team that strikes out 25% of the time against RHP which is 2nd most in MLB.
Stroman has put up some big numbers in recent starts which two of his three most recent outings going over 48 FanDuel points.
Stroman has 6 strikeouts in 3 of his last 4 starts and has been inducing a higher percentage of ground balls which has led to his recent success.
Stroman’s “ability” to mix in these elite outing with single digit stinkers makes him more of a tournament play but at this price point allows you some intriguing stacking possibilities.

MIKE PELFREY IN FENWAY? MIKE PELFREY IN FENWAY!!!!!!!!!
Red Sox versus RHP Mike Pelfrey: Listen, there are few things in life that are certainties – death, taxes and me stacking against Mike Pelfrey! The fact that Big Pelf has to head to Fenway and face the Red Sox makes this a must stack for me and frankly David Ortiz ($4,900) would not have a price too high for me to play him in this contest!
Pelfrey has been hit hard by hitters from both sides of the plate this season, surrendering a .344 average to LHB and a .313 average to RHB. Pelfrey does give up a higher percentage of fly balls to LHB and 35% of the balls hit by left-handers are graded out as hard contact.
Jackie Bradley Jr. ($3,000), Mookie Betts ($4,200) & Xander Bogaerts ($3,400) are all reasonably priced and frankly feel like they are discounted with this match-up, allowing us to stack away!
Jose Altuve/George Springer versus C.C. Sabathia in Houston: Another group of players that feels widely under-priced are the Astros stars against Sabathia in Houston. Altuve ($3,900) is averaging almost 16 points per game over the last two weeks and absolutely rakes against LHP which makes him my top 2B play on the slate.
Springer at only $3,500 is an easy play batting atop the Astros lineup and his combination of speed and power makes him a multi-threat for any DFS lineup!
