Start off August strong with a good Monday night of fantasy baseball by using my FanDuel daily picks to start building your roster.

Major League Baseball is sure to have a busy day today before any pitches are thrown in tonight’s eight games. With the non-waiver trade deadline at 4:00 PM ET, there should be plenty of roster moves to follow throughout the day leading up to a solid slate of action tonight. If you’re planning on getting your team into tonight’s main competition, check out my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides to see who I think you should get in your lineup.
The action starts tonight at 7:10 PM ET as the Indians host the Twins, the Rays host the Royals, and the Mets and Yankees battle in another Subway Series. Two more games get started around 8:00 as the Cubs host Miami and the Astros welcome in the Blue Jays. In the late window, we have three games from the West as the D-Backs host the Nationals at 9:40, the Mariners welcome in the Red Sox at 10:10, and the Brewers head to Petco to take on the Padres at 10:10 as well.
To help you find the best plays from the DFS options almost every morning, you can find my FanDuel daily picks right here at FanSided. My daily goal is to provide you the information you need to select the best of the available options to build your own lineup that can bring home a win. In order to help you find the position and price-point that you need, there are a variety of options on each slide with high-salary options, mid-range options, and high-value options at each position.

For starting pitchers and outfielders, I’ve separated my picks into high-salary and high-value options on separate slides while the other positions each get one slide per position with multiple pricing options. I base each of my picks on the current form of each player and the matchups each player will face in tonight’s contest.
I’ve found it very helpful to rank my picks to show the strength of each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a points-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the my most confident picks into my lineups for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.
In my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring. If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy baseball hub.
