Often-injured wide receiver Alshon Jeffery found himself having to leave Wednesday’s practice because of muscle tightness.

Next: Most impactful NFL training camp injuries so far.

Alshon Jeffery has as much talent as any wide receiver in the NFL, but has had trouble staying on the field because of injuries during his NFL career with the Chicago Bears.

During Wednesday’s NFL training camp practice with the Bears, Jeffery had to leave practice early due to experiencing some form of muscle tightness. Bears head coach John Fox wouldn’t expand upon which muscle it was, but did tell Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times that the summer heat was an issue that forced Jeffery out of practice.

Understandably, it has been a hotter summer than usual all across the United States. Practicing football in 90+ degree temperatures in full pads can definitely lead to cramps, dehydration, and varying aches like muscle soreness.

That being said, Jeffery always seems to come down with something with regards to his health playing for the Bears. His health greatly effected his performance last year on the gridiron. Though he has the skill set and is in his early 20s, the Bears organization has been reluctant to offer Jeffery a long-term deal to stay with the Chicago football franchise.

Fox’s decision to pull his star wide receiver out of practice does seem to be precautionary, but one has to begin to question if Jeffery’s litany of injuries are just going to keep continuing?

Jeffery did deal with muscle injuries last season in his legs. Could he be experiencing the same sort of soreness, only this time in fall camp? His exit from practice on Wednesday may not end up being any big thing, but one has to wonder if the Bears are growing tired of Jeffery always seeming to get hurt?
