Football is a sport that buys in to the next man up mentality. In a sport that is notoriously violent and with non-guaranteed contracts, having depth is as crucial as it has ever been in the NFL. The good teams will be able to offset certain losses due to injury to key players, while badly run organizations won’t be able to overcome this kind of adversity.
