The NFL Game Pass service is a great way for fans to enjoy a large number of games in the preseason live online, as well as on-demand replays of regular season games. However, sometimes live stream services and the devices running them can run into some hiccups. Here’s some helpful information on why the NFL Game Pass service might not be working properly.

One thing to consider when troubleshooting is whether or not the NFL preseason game you want to watch is being shown on local television in your region. Games shown locally won’t be available on your NFL Game Pass service. The local channels that will be showing preseason games could include CBS, Fox and NBC. There are also several games advertised from the preseason schedule for ESPN network.

Another reason NFL Game Pass may not be working could be due to a compatibility or device issue. The service is said to work with Android, iOS and Windows-based tablets or smartphones. It also works with select streaming media devices which include Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, PS4 and Xbox One. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the proper app for your mobile device via the Apple App Store or Android Store. Also, make sure your device is able to connect to the internet.

If your device doesn’t seem to be connecting to WiFi or the internet It’s best to check your WiFi modem and router to see if these could be causing the problem. You may need to reset your modem and/or router, based on the applicable instructions with your devices. If your internet connection is down for some reason at the time you’re trying to use NFL Game Pass, you may need to contact your internet service provider (ISP) for further help.

The NFL Game Pass service is subscriber-based and costs $99 for the full season, but that only includes on-demand replay of the regular season games. Therefore you won’t be able to watch regular season games live online with Game Pass. There is a free one-week trial available as well, so it’s best to make sure that your trial has not run out or that you have purchased the subscription when trying to use the service.
