One thing we have learned so far during the Rio Olympics is that Team USA basketball players seem to really like Team USA swimming, as Kevin Durant and DeAndre Jordan showed off yet again during the weekend. As it turn out, the love for swimming is not just from the Team USA basketball players, but maybe NBA players as a whole, as Hassan Whiteside showed.

I won’t lie, I really don’t know what led to this but I can assume that it was Whiteside asking for

one on Twitter, or more likely, Snapchat because that seems like it is the type of thing that Hassan Whiteside has no problem doing.
That said he is clearly very excited to have his new swim cap considering he put it on so quickly. I’m not sure how quickly after putting it on Whiteside went for a swim but that is really completely beside the point.
Next: Frank Kaminsky is into another Olympic sport. Handball.
Also the Hassan Whiteside Snapchat medal count (I am assuming that is what it is) is pretty fantastic. Whiteside does strike me as a very patriotic type but also as someone who really, really likes to win so his tracking the USA as they surely dominate the overall medal count is just great.
