Tyler Naquin etched his name in Cleveland Indians’ folklore with a walk-off inside-the-park home run against the Toronto Blue Jays. 

The Cleveland Indians have been one of the most fun teams during the 2015-16 MLB season. Magical moments define their season with plenty of walk off hits and comebacks. The bar has officially been set by Tyler Naquin, who hit a walk-off inside-the-park home run against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Naquin is a strong contender for the American League Rookie Of The Year. In 83 games entering Friday night’s game, Naquin is batting over .300 and has an OPS of over .900. The walk-off inside-the-park homer is Naquin’s 14th home run of the season. This epic highlight should help Naquin’s Rookie Of The Year case. Hard to top such an unforgettable home run.

Many believed that outfielder Michael Brantley’s injury would derail the Indians’ season. The main reason why it hasn’t is because Naquin has been an excellent replacement for him. He had to fill some huge shoes. Naquin has done a fantastic job filling them. In a season defined by magical moments, it’s very hard to see anything topping Naquin’s dash to home plate.

The Indians are in first place in the American League Central. Led by an opportunistic lineup and outstanding pitching, the Indians are World Series favorites. Despite the loss, the Blue Jays are still in first place in the American League East. Toronto is trying to hold off both the Baltimore Orioles and the Boston Red Sox.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers changed that. Perhaps the Indians are looking to make the city of Cleveland know what it’s like to have a World Series champion. For the first time in a very long time, the city of Cleveland has a lot of reasons to be optimistic about their sports teams.
