Live tracker for the full match results from WWE’s NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II on Saturday, August 20

Despite a fantastic show put on by WWE last year in Brooklyn for SummerSlam, there’s no doubt in any die-hard wrestling fan’s mind that NXT Takeover: Brooklyn was the best show put on by the company. As WWE SummerSlam 2016 returns to the Barclays Center, so too does NXT as Saturday night will be high-time for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II. And the stage is set to live up to the precedent set last year.

The main event for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II has the potential to be legendary. Samoa Joe has been an absolute wrecking ball since winning the NXT Champion. Of course, he’s never had to face anyone quite like the King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura. That all changes on Saturday night in Brooklyn as the belt will be on the line for Joe vs Nakamura.

However, that’s not all that NXT is bringing to the Barclays Center. While the women stole the show last year, they’ll have a chance to do so in the sequel as well. NXT Women’s Champion Asuka will defend the title against a legend of the brand in Bayley. These two offer an interesting clash of styles that could work wonderfully in the ring.

Also on the card will be Bobby Roode making aĀ GLORIOUSĀ debut on an NXT Takeover special in a match against Andrade Almas. What’s more is that No Way Jose will also make his Takeover debut in a match against Austin Aries while Ember Moon will be in an NXT ring for the first time. Additionally, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano finally get their shot at the tag titles, taking on The Revival.

This will be a show for the ages, without question. Therefore, you won’t want to miss any of the action or results. We’ve got you covered there as we’ll be live tracking the full match results below once the show begins at 8 p.m. ET.

Austin Aries def. No Way Jose

After the match, Aries continued to beat down Jose. That’s when Hideo Itami came out and greatness happened.

G-T-S

That’s damn right—Hideo Itami exchanged punches with Aries before ultimately hitting him with the first televised GTS since CM Punk. Click the link above to catch the video.

Ember Moon def. Billie Kay

In the debut match for Ember Moon, the former Athena faced Billie Kay. It was about what you’d expect from that match, but with a wicked, wicked new finisher.

Bobby Roode def. Andrade Almas

This was a really fun match where both men were able to show off their many talents. However, Roode was ridiculous over after hisĀ GLORIOUS entrance and went over in the match as well.

The Revival def. DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano

This match was absolutely fantastic. Not only did the four men tear it up together in the ring, but also told an absolutely riveting story together. However, it was ultimately the tag champs who used a bit of ā€œcraftinessā€ to get the win and retain.

Asuka def. Bayley

Everything and more is what this match had with both women laying it all on the line. You just have to see for yourself how incredible it was.

Shinsuke Nakamura def. Samoa Joe

Shocking no one, this match was ridiculously brutal. Nakamura and Joe beat the absolute crap out of one another, all to the point of Joe possibly actually being hurt with his jaw and Nakamura winning the NXT Championship.

Could this be the last hoorah in NXT for guys like Samoa Joe and Nakamura, as well as for Bayley? We’ll have to wait to find out. However, this is one hell of a way to say goodbye if this is indeed the last of them.
