After Sasha Banks lost her WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam it was revealed that she was pulled from at least a month of upcoming WWE events.

On Sunday night, Sasha Banks dropped the WWE Women’s Championship to Charlotte. That ended a very short reign for Banks which lasted just 27 days for her. It also opened up speculation by fans as to why Sasha lost.

During the pay-per-view, various websites also reported that Banks was taken off the WWE calendar for upcoming live events for at least the next month. Some were speculating that Banks may have been in hot water with the company, while others believed maybe she was hurt.

It would seem that the latter is the case. The Wrestling Inc site reported on Sunday night that Sasha needed time off to recuperate from injuries. Therefore, the WWE had been planning the title loss for about a week or so.

Banks has what are described as “nagging injuries,” so it doesn’t sound too serious. There had been some speculation that maybe she was in hot water with the company and received a suspension. However, she’s only off the WWE calendar until Sept. 23 and it appears she could return for an event in Illinois.

That’s good news for Sasha and her fans. After the past week, some fans were concerned Banks might be the next superstar to be suspended by WWE. Earlier this week, Alberto Del Rio, Paige and Eva Marie all received 30-day suspensions. That will have these superstars out of action until late next month.

For Sasha Banks, it’s also good to hear that this doesn’t seem like a serious injury. She had previously been out of action for a hiatus earlier this year and ironically returned at an event in June in Illinois. With all that said, it won’t be surprising if Sasha is able to recapture the WWE Women’s Championship at some point due to her popularity with the fans.
