On Friday, 2K released three different BioShock: The Collection videos, with each video focusing on a different game from the collection.
BioShock: The Collection was first leaked earlier this year before it was officially announced in June, developed by Blind Squirrel Games. This is a long time coming for fans of the series, considering that there hasn’t been a new game for the current generation consoles. Some gamers haven’t even played any of the games in the series, so this is a great opportunity for them to experience these masterpieces.
We got a first look at the collection in a trailer, showing off all three games with revamped visuals that are appropriate for today’s consoles. When BioShock released in 2007, the game was already visually stunning and to think that the developers can improve on that is something special.
Now, on Friday, straight from 2K’s YouTube page, they released a series of three Let’s Play videos with each video focusing on a different game from the collection.
In the first video, YouTuber GhostRobo plays BioShock for a brief period of time and immediately, it’s evident that the series has never looked this good. Although he doesn’t go into detail about each of the games, you do see him play through a short part of the first half of the game and he also explains why he loves the games so much. More of the same is done in the next two videos for BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite.
The first two games are similar in setting, but BioShock Infinite really changed the way everything looks, going for a lighter tone and focusing much more on the storytelling. There’s no doubt each game delivers a memorable experience.

Although Irrational Games has shut down, which was the original developer for these three games, it’s hard to think that a new game in the series isn’t in the works and honestly, it would be very disappointing if they don’t revisit this series sometime in the future.
BioShock: The Collection will launch on September 13, 2016 in North America on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
