The best Call of Duty game of all-time, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, is getting remastered and all 16 original maps are coming along with it.
When Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was announced earlier this year, it was pretty obvious that Call of Duty fans were a bit disappointed and they’ve called for a return to form. Although the game doesn’t look bad by any means, fans are just tired of the futuristic setting.
But, Infinity Ward announced even more big news. With the reveal of Infinite Warfare, at the end of the trailer, it was also revealed that arguably, the best Call of Duty game of all-time, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, was getting remastered for current generation consoles. This is huge news for fans of the series and many can’t wait to get their hands on this game again.
When Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare released back in 2007, it revolutionized the franchise. For the most part, the first three installments in the Call of Duty series accurately depicted war where it started, but Modern Warfare officially introduced just that: modern gameplay with different guns and for the first time, kill streaks were introduced to the series, which have come a major staple for the next coming games.

When the remaster was first revealed, it was announced that they would be remastering 10 multiplayer maps, including fan favorites like Crash, Overgrown and Shipment. But, during the global briefing at COD XP 2016 on Friday, it was revealed that they will now be remastering all 16 original maps, which is amazing news.
Fans will have more variety when it comes to playing on some of their favorite maps and it’s all very nostalgic if you played the game when it first launched. To look at some of the maps that will be included in the remaster, Charlie Intel has the scoop.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will come bundled up with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and will release on November 4, 2016.
