Here is a list of all the players that will be inactive for the Week 1 game at the Georgia Dome between the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Atlanta Falcons will host their NFC South rival in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their final home opener at the Georgia Dome on Sunday, September 11th. Atlanta has won its last eight home openers and looks to make in nine in a row versus a familiar foe in Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay will be led by franchise quarterback Jameis Winston and a new coaching staff in tote. Former Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter takes over for Lovie Smith in 2016. Koetter’s defensive coordinator is none other than the winningest head coach in Falcons franchise history in Mike Smith.
Atlanta enters the game as a slight home favorite, but will need to take better care of the football in 2016 than last year. Tampa Bay is many pundits’ pick to be the most improved team in the NFC. Having a quarterback like Winston and defensive playmakers like Gerald McCoy and Lavonte David only helps.
Here are the inactive players in this Week 1 game:
Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay went 6-10 last season, but swept Atlanta in NFC South play. The Falcons got off to a 5-0 start, but stumbled to 8-8 at season’s end. Falcons Head coach Dan Quinn has to get his team to play better in divisional play. Atlanta was a putrid 1-5 in the NFC South in 2015.
This will be a big win for either team in the early part of this season. With the juggernaut Carolina Panthers starting the year out 0-1 with a loss to the Denver Broncos, this winner of Atlanta versus Tampa Bay will take an early lead in the NFC South.

Depending on what goes down in the game in New Orleans between the Oakland Raiders and the New Orleans Saints, either the Buccaneers or the Falcons can be the lone team atop the NFC South entering Week 2.
