Basel face Ludogorets at St. Jakob-Park in the Champions League on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Basel, Swiss champions for the past seven years, have won all six of the games they’ve played so far this season. Basel didn’t make it to the group stages of the Champions League last season, losing to Maccabi Tel Aviv on away goals in a playoff. They did, however, advance to the round of 16 in the Europa League, where they were beaten by the eventual champions, Sevilla. Basel will need to start well if they have any chance of advancing in a group that also contains European heavyweights PSG and Arsenal. If they don’t win both games against Ludogorets, they may have to settle for another run in the Europa League.

Ludogorets were dominant in the Bulgarian League last year, beating second place Levski Sofia by 14 points. They were less successful in the Champions League, where they were dumped out in the second qualifying round by Milsami Orhei of Moldova. Ludogorets are coming off a win after beating Cherno More 3-1 at the weekend, thanks to two goals from Marcelinho. That was their first away win of the season in three attempts, which may prove to be a bad omen against what should be a solid Basel team.
The Champions League match between Basel and Ludogorets will be broadcast online only. Live streaming is available on Fox Soccer 2GO and ESPN3, which you can access with your cable or satellite subscriptions, either online or through their mobile app.
Date: Tuesday, September 13
Start time: 2:45 p.m. ET
Location: Basel, Switerland
Stadium: St. Jakob-Park
TV Info: Online only
Live Stream: Fox Soccer 2GO, ESPN3
Basel will be big favorites at home, but Ludogorets have nothing to lose. Hopefully that means they go out and attack the game rather than play it safe and settle for a draw.
