The latest Titans at Lions odds, trends and other information ahead of their 2016 NFL Week 2 matchup.
The Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans will face off in an NFL Week 2 matchup. This game will be among the massive slate of games in the 1:00 p.m. ET time slot.
The 1-0 Lions enter this game as 5.5 point favorites, according to OddShark. The over/under for the game is set at 47 points. Fresh off of their thrilling 39-35 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, Detroit sits in good shape heading into Week 2.
The Titans, on the other hand, did not have as impressive of a Week 1 showing. A 25-16 loss against a Minnesota Vikings team playing Shaun Hill at quarterback was a less than ideal way to start the season.
Minnesota won the game on the back of two Titans’ turnovers that resulted in defensive touchdowns. The Tennessee defense played well for the most part, holding the great Adrian Peterson to only 31 yards on 19 carries.
However, the Lions will likely look to move the ball primarily with the passing attack. Matthew Stafford was great in Week 1, and undoubtedly will look to build on his success. The Titans’ defensive backs will certainly have their hands full on Sunday.

Personally, I tend to see the Lions as a bit overrated here. That being said, the Titans are tough to bet on being 0-5 both straight-up and against the spread. On top of that, in their last five games the Lions are 4-1 both against the spread and straight up.
According to the trend, the best bet may involve the 47-point over/under. The total has gone over in five of the last six Titans’ games and in five of the last seven for the Lions. While it is always difficult to take too much stock in games from last season, the trends clearly favor the OVER here.
