DFS Fantasy Football Picks: Week 2 DFS Bargain Bin
DFS Fantasy Football Picks: Week 2 DFS Bargain Bin
Similarly to baseball, finding cheaper value players can be ever so critical to the success of your DFS Fantasy Football Picks. In order to unlock the studs of the slate, you’ll need to find the bargain players that provide important salary relief. Here are my top bargain plays for week 2 on both DraftKings and Fanduel.
Travis Benjamin – SD (WR) – DK $4400
The Keenan Allen injury was the most significant injury to come in week one, and will have serious implications in the fantasty football realm. Allen was a target monster and given his absence, those targets will have to find a new home. Benjamin signed a four-year contract with the bolts in the beginning of the year and should be a primary option for Rivers this week. All of the Charger’s wide receivers will see a boost, including Danny Woodhead, but I think Benjamin has the highest floor out of the wide receivers.
Tyrell Williams – SD (WR) – DK $3700
Tyrell Williams is the cheaper version stemming from the scenario I just described. Williams was an undrafted rookie out of Western Oregon, who proved impressive throughout training camp. He received 5 targets last week, but I’d expect that number to move upwards of 6-8. I wouldn’t be building lineups around him, but he’s an extremely cheap option this week.
Next: DraftKings and Fanduel Specific Bargains
DraftKings Plays
LeGarrette Blount – NE (RB) – $5200
After a tough loss in Seattle, Miami will back track east, to take on the Patriots. Given Vegas’ projection, this shapes up as a LeGarrette Blount game. The Patriots are 6.5 point favorites, which should indicate a game flow of running the ball late. If the Pats are leading, there’s no point to expose the young quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo. The Dolphins’ front looked impressive against Seattle last week, but as we know, Seattle’s offensive line has serious issues, and these were made even more apparent when Russell Wilson was kept in the pocket with an ankle injury. I’d use caution with Blount in cash on DraftKings as he wont see any targets in the passing game. He’s more expensive on Fanduel, but his game aligns better with Fanduel scoring, as he has more touchdown upside and less pass catching ability.
Tajae Sharp – TEN (WR) – $4100
I sound like a broken record at this point, but Tajae Sharp is legit, and here to stay. If you didn’t believe me when I said he would be the Titans number one receiver, you may have been surprised, as he was in on 64 of 69 Titans offensive snaps. The next highest wide receiver was Harry Douglas at 37 snaps. While the talent is up for debate, there’s no arguing that Marriota and the Titan’s coaching staff love this guy. Sharp and the Titans will face off against the Lions’ defense, who got torched against Indy. You may have heard others touting a fade of Sharp as he’ll match up with Darrius Slay, but while Slay is a formidable defender, I don’t see the Lion’s shadowing a rookie wide receiver out of UMass.
Fanduel Specific
Eli Manning – NYG (QB) – $8100
Manning will make for one of the chalkiest plays, not only on Fanduel, but across all platforms. He’s very under priced on Fanduel at $8100. The Giants will get a dream spot against this abysmal Saints defense. If you could imagine them getting any worse, well they did, as they lost their top defender Delvin Breaux to a broken leg. Breaux was one of the best cover corners in the league and will now leave a glaring hole for the Giants receivers to exploit. Manning will come at high ownership as this no sneaky play, but he will definitely provide value.

Danny Woodhead – SD (RB) – $6400
Like Benjamin and Williams, Woodhead should be a fantasy beneficiary of Keenan Allen‘s targets. I am slightly concerned that the offense, as a whole, will be less efficient, but the usage should increase for each of these players. I was very surprised to see Woodhead out snapping Melvin Gordon, even when the Chargers were up big on the Chiefs. For some reason, San Diego refuses to give Gordon the workload. While Gordon did find the paint twice, he still was running second behind Woodhead when the team was leading. I think Woodhead’s pass catching ability provides him with a safe floor, and his increased usage should also increase his upside.
Alshon Jeffery – CHI (WR) – $7800
I can’t stress enough how much I love Alshon Jeffery this week. When Alshon is healthy he ranks near the top for market share on any given team. Cutler loves throwing to him and quite frankly, he doesn’t have many other options. The Bears are 3.5 point dogs, and should be playing catch up on Monday night. While the Eagles’ defense is much improved, their secondary is fairly weak. It should also be noted that Leodis McKelvin exited the game last week and could be out for Monday night. If so, rookie Jalen Mills could find himself on Alshon, and we’ll, that just wouldn’t be fair.
Good luck in week two!
