Fantasy Football Week 2 Hot Takes

So while the bargain bin articles are reserved for the value, and often, safer plays. This article will be geared more for those fiery takes that may lead to taking down a tournament in fantasy football week 2. Not only is playing the chalk boring, but it’s quite unprofitable in most tournament formats. Here are my red-hot contrarian takes for week two.

The Ram’s defense will be the highest scoring defense this week

While the Ram’s embarrassed themselves on national television, on Monday night, I think they’ll bounce back in a big way. They’ll take on a Seattle team, at home, who looked very unimpressive against the Dolphins. I’ll be targeting the Rams’ defense in DFS not because I believe in their defense, but because I very much believe in the lack of pass protecting from Seattle and Russell Wilson‘s inability to scramble. Over recent years, Wilson was able to somewhat mask how awful this Seattle front really is. Even though all reports say Wilson is good to go on Sunday, there’s no way he’ll have full mobility. Look for the Rams to get after Wilson early and often.

The Dallas vs. Washington game will go under the total (Full game fantasy fade)

This may not be a scorcher of a take, but I love the under in this game. Time and time again we see the Cowboy’s slowing down the pace of the game. Pacing is a metric which is extremely under valued by the average bettor/dfs player. I’ll have very limited exposure to Dak and Elliot, but other than that, nothing looks too enticing here.

LeGarrette Blount will rush for 2 touchdowns

I touched on Blount in my DFS Bargain Bin article, but again, this game is a pristine combination of match up and game flow. We saw Belichick continue to feed Blount in Arizona and I think you’ll see a lot more of that in this game.

Either Carson Palmer or David Johnson will be the highest scoring QB or RB on the week

Don’t sleep on these Arizona Cardinals. While their offense should regress from their outrageous production last year, they are still going way too under owned. I’ll be looking for this game to turn into a shootout as Jameis Winston showed how improve the Buc’s offense is. Tampa has a classic funnel defense which should play right into the hands of Carson Palmer and the passing game of Arizona.

More from FanSided

Julio Jones will be on the winning team of the DraftKings million dollar contest

O’dell Beckham Jr., Antonio Brown, A.J. Green. It’s very realistic that Julio Jones may see single digit ownership. There’s simply not enough salary or roster spots to go around. A majority of the high-end receiver ownership will be all over the three previously listed wide outs, and rightfully so. This will put Julio, a premier receiver, in a great spot for tournaments.

Alshon Jeffery will score over 30 DraftKings points

I raved about Alshon Jeffery in my Bargain Bin article, but just to reiterate, Alshon should see one of the highest market shares out of any receiver this week. More reports are coming to the surface regarding Kevin White‘s inability to progress in the offense, and the Bears don’t have much after that. The Eagles are already a team that struggles in the secondary, but things get even more appealing as Leodis McKelvin may be out. He exited the game last week and could be out for Monday night. If so, rookie Jalen Mills could find himself on Alshon.
