When Northwestern takes the field against Nebraska, they will be honoring the memory of Sam Foltz
In one of the games on the Big Ten slate Saturday evening here in Week 4, the Northwestern Wildcats will look to pull off the upset at home as they welcome in the undefeated Nebraska Cornhuskers. And while they surely want to take care of Nebraska on the field, they will also be taking care of the memory of a fallen Cornhusker.
Sadly, as we all know, Nebraska punter Sam Foltz was tragically killed on a car accident over the off-season. It was devastating news, but his memory has been very much honored so far this college football season, and now the Wildcats are doing their part.

When they do take the field against Nebraska on Saturday night, they will be wearing the Sam Foltz memorial sticker on the back of their helmets in what is an amazing gesture.
Football –especially college football– is a sport filled with a lot of animosity, but there are times that we’re reminded of just how kind it can be as well with moments such as this. This really is incredible from Northwestern here and we’re sure that Nebraska appreciates it to the utmost extent.

This is the second week in a row that a Nebraska foe will honor the memory of Foltz, as last weekend the Oregon Ducks put flowers right on the 27-yard line in another amazing gesture to make sure that this young man will not be forgotten.
Throughout the season Foltz will be honored more and more, and it’s awesome to see these opponents go out of their way to make sure that it happens.
