Week 3 Survivor Pool Picks

Week 3 of NFL action has some pretty lopsided match ups for your Week 3 Survivor Pool Picks. If you followed my Week 2 advice you either survived with the Carolina Panthers or had your heart broken by the Detroit Lions. Somethings never seem to change… Such as the Detroit Lions looking as if they are trying to lose football games. I apologize to those who lost on the Lions game against the Titans. I now deliver you two pick ideas for your Survivor Pool Week 3 picks.

MIAMI DOLPHINS OVER THE CLEVELAND BROWNS

The Miami Dolphins are playing game they simply must win against the Cleveland Browns. Both teams are 0-2 heading into what will be the Dolphins home opener. The Browns are extremely injured right now. The team just lost rookie receiver Corey Coleman to a broken hand and are starting their third string quarterback this weekend.

The Browns are without Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown. Do you have faith that Cody Kessler will lead a poor Browns team to victory? It will be the young Californian’s first NFL start. Maybe he will prove me wrong and shock Miami at home. I do not think so.

Miami had some burst in the second half of their game last week, almost coming back against the Patriots. This is a game that the Dolphins REALLY should win. The Dolphins defense should have success against a depleted Browns team, while Ryan Tannehill should be able to air it out against the Browns.

The Dolphins are without Arian Foster but should still have a potent offense. I look for Jarvis Landry to have a fairly big day. I believe the Dolphins are a solid pick this week and are also a team you will most likely not use down the road in your pool.

ARIZONA CARDINALS OVER THE BUFFALO BILLS

This match up is fairly straight forward to me… The Arizona Cardinals are good and the Buffalo Bills are bad. Many people advocate not to take road teams in Survivor Pools, I do not feel this must be followed for this match up. The only reason not to take the Cardinals this week is due to the fact they play the Rams next week. If you use the Cardinals this week they can not be used later on in your pool.

More from Fantasy

Larry Fitzgerald is having another amazing season. It seems every year there are doubts (especially in the fantasy football world) about what he will produce. Every year Fitzgerald silences the critics.

The Cardinals offense as a whole has been impressive. The team would be 2-0, if not for a missed field goal against the Patriots. The Cards are coming off a game in which they absolutely destroyed the Buccaneers. I think the Cardinals offense is just too strong to be stopped by the Bills.

I do not believe in the Buffalo Bills. It looks as if the Bills will be without Sammy Watkins. It is unfortunate that the former Clemson star has had to battle injury problems during his young NFL career. The Bills lackluster offense will not be able to beat the Cardinals.

TO SUMMARIZE

Last week my Survivor Pool Picks were 1-1. The Panthers beat the 49ers as expected, the Lions gave a game away to the Titans. This week I am banking on the Dolphins to beat the Browns and the Cardinals to best the Bills on the road. Both options appear fairly safe to me. The Browns will be the worst team in football this season. Mark my words. I anticipate the Browns will frequently be picked against in Survivor Pools this year. Let’s all hope that this is not the week the Browns pull off a miracle.
