History in the Making
Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera continues to drink from the fountain of youth. As the years go by, he just seems to get better.
In nine years for the Tigers, he owns a career average of .324. He has secured 442 career home runs, four batting titles and a triple crown. He’s the guy every team wants to be at the plate with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.
When he finally hangs up his cleats, he’ll be the guy you wished you could see play just one more time. He’s the man that has changed the sport of baseball, and he will be a first-ballot Hall of Fame candidate.
The only thing better than his effortless will to win is the amount of fun he has on the diamond. He’s the face of the franchise and a player you can build a team around.

Since the All-Star break, Cabrera is carrying a .340 average and is steering his team for a head-on collision with the playoffs. There is no doubt that once he gets there, he will take his game to another level. And at the very young age of 33, he’s got a lot more to offer to the sport of baseball. All that is left is to sit back and enjoy the show.
