In a recent rumor from NeoGAF, it looks like Bungie is gearing up to release Destiny 2 on PC, which is great news for PC owners everywhere.

In 2014, the creators of the Halo series embarked on an entirely new journey and created a new first-person shooter, Destiny. It’s an entirely new game in its own right, but it’s heavily inspired by the Halo series when it comes to certain mechanics, especially some of the weapons, the movements and so on.

It was one of the most anticipated games of 2014 and when it released, it delivered in some areas. However, it was definitely a letdown for many gamers due to lack of content and a weak story. But Bungie didn’t take too long to deliver the game they promised. The studio released two expansions, The Dark Below and House of Wolves, then followed with the game’s biggest expansion, The Taken King.

The Taken King was good enough to bring back a bunch of lapsed players to the game once again, bringing a brand new way to play, an extensive amount of content and a variety of weapons and armor to choose from. This was the game everyone was hoping to get at launch.

The most recent expansion, Rise of Iron, released just last week, which has also been extremely well-received by gamers everywhere.

Rise of Iron is the last big expansion before the company shifts its focus to Destiny 2, which is scheduled to launch in 2017. It’s already a no-brainer that the game will release on consoles, but there are already rumors of the game coming to PC. Apparently, someone on NeoGAF broke the news, and Kotaku also has some comments on the matter.

In reality, it’s very surprising that a game like Destiny wasn’t developed for PC the first time around. It centers around exploring a variety of planets, battling big bosses with a group of other players, competing different missions, such as raids, strikes and so on. Destiny is the perfect game to come to PC.
