The Arkansas Razorbacks are putting on a clinic against Alcorn State and this touchdown run from Devwah Whaley may be the final nail in their coffin.
We know how Arkansas likes to play their football. The Hogs are going to impose their will and run the football behind their massive offensive line and they’re going to have success more often than not.
With the Razorbacks hosting Alcorn State on Saturday afternoon, they will have plenty of running room compared to the teams they’ll see in the SEC this season.
Devwah Whaley helped build the lead for Bret Bielema’s team when he ran virtually untouched through the heart of the Alcorn State defense en route to the end zone. Whaley’s 75-yard touchdown made it a 17-0 game and likely puts it far out of reach for the road team to have an idea about pulling off an upset.
Whaley is part of the Hogs rushing attack that also has Rawleigh Williams as the tandem is tasked with the responsibility of replacing Alex Collins and Johnathan Williams. That duo was imperative to the team’s success in recent years, even with Williams missing last year with an injury.

Considering the opponent, this may not be the only long touchdown run of the game from Whaley or Arkansas and the Hogs are likely to win this game in a laugher.
Arkansas entered the game ranked No. 20 and have been one of the bigger surprises in the country this year. After losing Collins and quarterback Brandon Allen, there were questions about Bielema’s team and if they were ready to compete in the SEC or if it would be another rebuilding year.

So far, it’s looking good for Bielema’s hogs, thanks in part to Whaley’s rushing efforts and the great blocking from his offensive linemen.
