Even though the 2016 fantasy baseball season is over doesn’t mean we stop writing. There is plenty we will be writing about throughout the offseason.

Sunday is the last day of the 2016 regular season, which means it’s the end of the year-long fantasy baseball game. There is still playoff baseball to watch, but without the fantasy aspect, it has a little less flare.

However, we still publish content for the fantasy baseball audience year round. We already have pieces up for the 2017 season, including some projections and strategies. That is only the beginning, so I am here to give you a rough outline on what you can expect from us during the offseason.

Over the next week, I will be writing about the most and least valuable hitters and pitchers. That will be based on their draft-day ADP and their performance at the end of the season. There are a lot of candidates for all four categories.

More from FanSided

Throughout the winter, we will be posting early 2017 projections for as many players as possible. We want to get something up so you have as much information as you need to have a good draft. With my projections, and my colleagues, we look at this past season’s stats as well as the past to see if it was an outlier or something he can keep up next season.

Also, team outlooks are something to look forward to. There was a big youth movement in baseball this season. With many teams changing their look, fantasy owners want to know how valuable their team is from a fantasy standpoint.

The New York Yankees, for example, have a lot of young players on their team. How will their lineup, and pitching rotation, look? Which hitters will be worth owning next season? This will all be covered in the team outlooks.

And it won’t be a baseball offseason without the impact of the Winter Meetings and free agency. We will give the fantasy impact of any and all transactions made in the offseason. We had some big moves last season and I don’t expect this season to be any different.

The final topic we will be writing about is position rankings. These are the most popular pieces we put together. Fantasy owners love to see where a certain player ranks among his peers. Who will be ranked No. 1 in their position? Who will be left out of the top 10? These will be posted around February, just before Spring Training.

The 2016 fantasy baseball season may be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start preparing for next season. With news coming almost everyday and projections to be made, there will be enough content to keep you busy until the 2017 Opening Day.
