We have reached Week 6 of the college football season, and there are plenty of games this weekend to keep you entertained.

We are just over a third of the way through the 2016 NCAA college football schedule, and things have been intense to say the least. The drama and action have been delivered in plenty and will only get better as the season progresses. That said, let’s take a look at who will take the primetime stage for Week 6. As a reminder, all times listed will be Central.

After upending Louisville last week, the third-ranked Clemson Tigers are feeling pretty good. The win gave them a lot of momentum as they chase a second consecutive ACC Coastal Division title and a berth in the ACC Championship game. Up next for the Tigers will be a trip to Boston College and a Week 6 battle with the Eagles. Boston College is fresh off a 35-3 thrashing of Buffalo, and is looking forward to a Friday night showdown, with a chance for a major upset. ESPN will carry the broadcast beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Also on Friday night, No. 19 Boise State heads to Albuquerque for a date with New Mexico. Boise is undefeated so far, with their most recent win over Utah State this past Saturday at home. New Mexico is 2-2 so far this season. Boise is listed as 18-point favorites, behind quarterback Brett Rypien. He has thrown for over 1,000 yards already, and is looking to dismantle the New Mexico defense. CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) will have coverage beginning at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, the action heats up as Nick Saban leads No. 1 Alabama into Fayetteville to face No. 16 Arkansas. Alabama is continuing to be…well…Alabama. Outscoring opponents by a ridiculous margin.

More from College Football

Last week, they throttled USC by a 52-6 decision, one of three games the Crimson Tide have held an opponent to a single digit score. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has completed over 60 percent of his passes this season, and has racked up seven touchdowns and close to 1,000 yards. The freshman is posting up big numbers, and has no signs of slowing down as they look for another opportunity to be National Champions. ESPN will air the game at 6 p.m.

Moving through the Saturday night schedule, No. 4 Michigan travels to New Jersey for a battle with Rutgers. The Wolverines are perfect through five games, and have cruised through the schedule.

Junior QB Wilton Speight is just having his way with opponents, connecting on 63 percent of passes for a grand total of 10 touchdowns and 1,094 yards. They’re averaging 444 yards per game, while barely giving up 10-12 points in each contest. It is definitely a case worthy of the NCAA College Football Playoff, if they can continue the run they’re enjoying. ESPN2 will be when you need to be at 6 p.m.

A big time battle down south will take place this Saturday, as No. 23 Florida State travels to No. 10 Miami. The Seminoles have bounced back nicely, since giving up 63 points to Louisville last month. Leading the charge for FSU will be quarterback Deondre Francois.

The freshman QB has already hit 1,300 yards this season through the air, and has thrown for seven touchdowns. The Hurricanes are 4-0 so far, and creeping up the Top 25. These two will go to war on ABC at 7 p.m.

One game NOT on the primetime list but definitely an annual favorite is the Red River Rivalry game, between Texas and No. 20 Oklahoma. The game is always played on neutral ground, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, and is one of the premier rivalries in college football.

Texas fell apart last week in Stillwater against Oklahoma State, and as a result, has head coach Charlie Strong in the extreme “hot seat.” Rumors are that Strong may not last through the season if the Longhorns can’t pull things together soon.

Meanwhile, the Sooners are hanging on by a thread lately. They’ve lost three huge games to Clemson, Houston, and Ohio State, with the Houston loss being the biggest so far. These two teams always clash hard, and this week will be no exception. FS1 will have coverage beginning at 11 a.m.
