DFS Fantasy Football Picks: Week 6 DFS Bargain Bin

Similarly to baseball, finding cheaper value players can be ever so critical to the success of your DFS Fantasy Football Picks. In order to unlock the studs of the slate, you’ll need to find the bargain players that provide important salary relief. Here are my top bargain plays for week six on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Le’Veon Bell – PIT (RB) – $7900

While Le’Veon Bell is the highest priced running back, he’s still one of the best bargains on the slate, in terms of points per dollar. Pittsburgh will travel south to Miami, where they’re 7.5 point favorites and have a projected team total of 27.8 points. As predicted, the Steelers had a tough time running the ball on the Jet’s front, but Bell was able to get his, in the passing game. Look for the Steelers to revert back to a heavy run game with their bell cow, especially if they jump out to an early lead.

Travis Kelce – KC (TE) – $5000

There’s a lot to like in this KC vs. OAK game, but Travis Kelce is one of the better value plays. Kansas City is coming off of a bye and historically Andy Reid has held one of the best records in football, after bye weeks. They’ll face a Oakland defense that has been gashed through the air thus far. While they’ve improved against opposing tight ends, they still are susceptible over the middle. Kelce has both safety and upside. His safety comes from his market share of targets, where he’s received at least 7 targets in every game this year. His upside comes from his red zone market share where he’s received 8 red zone targets (most in the league is 10).

LeSean McCoy – BUF (RB) – $6900

We’ve seen Shady revert back to his normal form and has been a fantasy stud thus far. While the loss of Sammie Watkins hurts the offense’s efficiency, I think McCoy‘s usage increase may outweigh the efficiency problems. McCoy is in a great spot as Buffalo will play host to the 49er’s. McCoy check every box for me as both a cash and tournament play. He’s playing at home, as a favorite, he catches passes, is leading the team in market share, and is relatively cheap.

John Brown – ARI (WR) – $4500

If you’re playing any slates that include the Monday night game, I’d highly encourage you take a look at John Brown. These are the kind of spots we pray for in DFS. We have Brown, a guy coming off of a one catch game, now getting his starting QB back, in a game where they’re projected to score 26.8 points, and with Michael Floyd getting demoted. It doesn’t get much better than that.

More from FanSided

While there will be sharp ownership on Brown, any casual player just reading box scores will be fading Brown, for the most part. While I’m not a Carson Palmer truther, the drop off between Palmer and Stanton is undeniable. It’s also important to note that Michael Floyd saw his snap count take a big hit last week, where he only played 23 of 70 total snaps.

Cameron Meredith – CHI (WR) – $4100

If you were paying any attention to the Chicago receiving core prior to last Sunday, you knew this kid was primed for a big day. While his ownership will be through the roof this week, he’s still under priced and in a spot where lineup construction leads us to pay down for wide receivers.

Sammie Coates – PIT (WR) – $4700

Coates is in a very similar situation as Meredith. His ownership will be incredibly inflated, but if you plan on paying up for a QB and RB in cash, you’ll be forced to find value with wide outs. It will be important to monitor Coat’s hand injury leading up to Sunday. He was out of practice Thursday with a hand injury but returned today. Coates is already prone to drops, as evident last week, so we’ll have to get a better understanding of the severity of his injury.

FanDuel

Jeremy Maclin – KC (WR) – $6900

As I touched on earlier, this is a dream spot for the Kansas City offense. Travis Kelce and Jeremy Maclin are Alex Smith‘s primary options and both could have huge days. I’ll have exposure to Maclin on both sites, but he’s cheaper on FanDuel, relative to DraftKings’ pricing.

Jarvis Landry – MIA (WR) – $6900

Jarvis Landry is in a spot similar to John Brown. Landry has been one of the leaders in targets over the past few years, and last week was anomaly. If Vegas is correct, Miami should be down for most of the game and forced to throw. Hopefully Adam Gase recognizes that failing to get the ball in Landry’s hands last week was detrimental, and adjusts this week. Either way, you can grab Landry on the cheap, at low ownership, in a spot conducive to target accumulation.
