Here’s how you can watch the Heritage Classic between the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets online.

The first outdoor game of the 2016-17 NHL season will be occurring on Sunday Oct. 23 when the Edmonton Oilers travel to Investors Group Field to square off against the Winnipeg Jets. Edmonton and Winnipeg hope to renew their rivalry which hasn’t been the same since the Jets left Winnipeg in the 1990’s.

One of the biggest surprises this season has been Edmonton. They currently find themselves with a 4-1-0 record, tied for first place in the Pacific Division. Led by captain Connor McDavid (four goals and four assists for eight points), Edmonton has one of the most impressive offenses in the NHL. Jordan Eberle (three goals and six points) and Leon Draisaitl (two goals and six points) give the Oilers an impressive core of young players. Their 20 goals scored leads the NHL, but their 16 goals allowed ranks 24th.

On the other side of the ice, the Winnipeg Jets enter the matchup with a 2-2-0 record. Center Mark Scheifele leads the team with six points. His three goals are second on the team to rookie sensation Patrik Laine, who has four goals. The Winnipeg Jets’ 14 goals are the eighth most while their 16 goals are 24th. They will be the home team in this matchup. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has struggled so far. The Jets must be strong defensively to counter Edmonton’s fast paced offense.
