DraftKings NHL Picks: October 26th

Tonight’s slate features 4 games, and the Rangers and Capitals have the best team projections. I’ll be targeting power play units from Washington and Boston for tournaments. Here are my DraftKings NHL Picks.

MTL vs. NYI (-120), O/U: 5

BOS vs. NYR (-190), O/U: 5.5

WSH (-145) vs. EDM, O/U: 5.5

NSH (-120) vs. ANA, O/U: 5

Alex Ovechkin – WSH (W) – $8300

Alex Ovechkin is pretty much a lock in cash games tonight. Washington is a -145 favorite, and has the second best projected total at 5.5, under -130. Ovi will be playing on both the first line and first power play unit. He constantly ranks as the highest shot producer, which we love for DraftKings. The only slight concern with Ovechkin is how Edmonton will match lines, given that they are the home team.

More from FanSided

Artturi Lehkonen – MTL (W) – $3700

Artturi Lehkonen has come on strong for the Montreal Canadians. The 21-year-old, from Finland, has found a comfortable spot on the second line, as well as seeing time with the second power play unit. Through six games, he was able to accrue 19 shots on goal.

Oscar Klefbom – EDM (D) – $4000

If you’re looking to save money at the defenseman position tonight, consider Oscar Klefbom. Klefbom averaged 2.07 blocks per game last year, and has shown a safe floor so far, this season. Through six games he has 12 blocked shots and 11 shots on goal. He’s also seeing time on the second power play line, which is encouraging for a player at his price point.

Sami Vatanen – ANA (D) – $4700

Anaheim finds themselves in unusual position tonight, being home dogs (+105), against the visiting Nashville Predators. I like Sami Vatanen on the back-end tonight at his price point, below $5000. Vatanen is another shot blocker, but also has some value from shots on goal, where he averaged just under 2 shots per game last year. Vatanen will see time with Anaheim’s first power play unit, which has been excellent in recent years.

Derek Stepan – NYR (C) – $5700

The Rangers have the best projection tonight, and while injuries have shift lines around, there is still plenty of value to be found. I’ll be targeting Derek Stepan tonight, hoping that the scoring of the Rangers flows through the first line. I’m undecided on if he’ll be in my cash game lineups or not, but he is a viable option if you want to get exposure to the Rangers in this spot.
