After a fun Opening Night special, the NBA has its first full night of DFS action tonight, and you can find my favorite plays in my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides.
It’s the first full-night schedule of the NBA season tonight as there are ten games all across the country giving us plenty of options to pick from for DFS fantasy basketball. All 20 teams taking the floor tonight are making their first start of the new season, so we are still picking FanDuel daily picks based on upside, projected playing time, and potential opportunity. As the first week plays out, we’ll have more statistical data to go on, but for now there are some great speculative plays, some good stars, and what should be some fun games lined up for this Wednesday, October 26.

The first pair of games tips off tonight at 7:00 as the Pacers host the Mavericks and the Magic welcome in their in-state rivals from Miami. At 7:30, the Celtics and Nets meet at TD while the Raptors and Pistons meet North of the border in Toronto. Three more games get rolling at 8:00 including our first look at Tom Thibodeau’s Minnesota Timberwolves in Memphis against the Grizz, the Pelicans hosting Denver, and the Thunder and Russell Westbrook in Philadelphia against the 76ers. We wrap up a busy DFS night with a pair of games out West as the Suns host the Kings at Talking Stick Resort Arena and the Lakers welcome in James Harden and the Rockets to STAPLES Center..
With 20 teams tipping off their season tonight, there are a ton of options for today’s FanDuel daily picks on the following slides. My goal throughout the season will again be to give you the information you need to build your own lineup that can bring home a win for your team. In order to help you find the position and price-point that you need, you’ll find two slides per position in this post. The first slide will feature the best high-salary options followed by some high-value options which cost less but still offer solid returns. Each slide contains at least two options with extras thrown in where possible.
I rank my picks for each contest using stars after each selection to show the relative strength of the pick. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.
In my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring. If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy basketball hub.
If you have any questions about my picks for today or any of our FanSided fantasy coverage for football, basketball, or even golf, you can leave them at the bottom of the page in the comments section. For an even quicker response, you can find me throughout the season on Twitter @FansidedFantasy. If you find my picks and analysis helpful and would like to check out my DFS fantasy basketball posts each morning, the easiest way to find the FanDuel daily picks is to drop a bookmark on our fantasy basketball hub or follow on Twitter where I’ll tweet out the links each day when my picks go live.
With those prelims out of the way, let’s get going with tonight’s 20-team fantasy basketball bonanza starting with the big-name PG that should be able to produce big numbers tonight.
