DFS Fantasy Football Picks: Week 8 DFS Bargain Bin
DFS Fantasy Football Picks:
Similarly to baseball, finding cheaper value players can be ever so critical to the success of your DFS Fantasy Football Picks. In order to unlock the studs of the slate, you’ll need to find the bargain players that provide important salary relief. Here are my top bargain plays for week eight on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
Devontae Booker – DEN (RB) – $3700, FD $5600
With reports surfacing of C.J. Anderson‘s apparent knee injury, Devontae Booker will now be thrust into the “mega chalk” category. At only $3700, Booker will be in a dream spot, as the Broncos’ are 5 point favorites, playing at home, against a porous San Diego defense. Booker was beginning to dig into Anderson‘s snap count before the injury, but will now get a chance to assume the full workload.
Ty Montgomery – GB (RB/WR) – DK $5300, FD $6400
Ty Montgomery will also remain in bargain territory, as he should accumulate usage with the injuries to Eddie Lacy and James Starks. Knile Davis and Don Jackson have had some more time to become incorporated with the offense, but Montgomery should still see plenty of short targets, which are extremely useful for full point PPR sites. Over the past two weeks, Montgomery received 25 targets and should project for similar production. We’ll have to monitor any news that arises, but I would assume that corner, Desmond Trufant will shadow Jordy Nelson, as Trufant doesn’t travel into the slot. This would open up room for Montgomery and Cobb to take advantage of the weaker part of the Atlanta defense.
DraftKings Specific:
Jameis Winston – TB (QB) – $5700
If you’re not spending up at the quarterback position, Jameis Winston is the best bargain option on DraftKings. Tampa Bay will welcome in one of the worst passing defenses in the league, the Oakland Raiders. Jameis is able to excel when he has time in the pocket and this should match up nicely as the Raiders have failed to generate much of a pass rush through seven weeks. I’d expect the Jameis Winston to Mike Evans stack to be one of the most popular on the week, but for good reason.

FanDuel Specific:
Jacquizz Rodgers – TB (RB) – $6600
Jacquizz Rodgers finds himself on this list again, as he’ll be in another spot conducive to running back success. The Buc’s are 1 point favorites at home and with Doug Martin still sidelined, I’d expect Tampa to ride Rodgers again. Oakland does have a better run defense than San Francisco, but we can safely projected Rodgers for a minimum of 20 – 25 touches. It’s still too early to tell, but some sharp money has trickled in on Tampa Bay, indicating that the wise guys in Vegas may agree.
Jack Doyle – IND (TE) – $4900
Jack Doyle has only received a $200 price increase, and while the match up is not all that appealing, he should still be considered, if you’re spending down at the tight end position this week. Kansas City has been more stout against tight ends, but if Luck continues to use Doyle as he has, he should have a nice floor of targets. We’ll have to monitor the health of both Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett, as the week progresses. If both are active and ready to go, Doyle’s target projection would take a hit.
Good luck!
