Alec Martinez – LA (D) – $4400

Alec Martinez is my favorite play on DraftKings tonight, and he’ll find his way into my cash game lineup. Martinez is an under priced defenseman, that offers a safe floor, from his blocked shots, and shots on goal. Last year he averaged 2.33 blocked shots per game and over 1.5 shots per game. While ensuring points through blocks and shots, he’ll also have upside as he should see time on the point, with the second power play unit.

More from FanSided

Tomas Hertl – SJ (W) – $4700

Tomas Hertl is the most attractive option if you choose to get exposure to San Jose. The case can be made for Logan Couture as well, but Hertl provides savings that can open up other options. Hertl will skate on the top line, in addition to playing on the second power play unit. Last year, Hertl had an iCorsi/60 of 16.00 and this has transferred into the 2016 – 2017 season where he’s averaging just under 2.5 shots per game.

Jakub Vorachek – PHI (W) – $6300

Philadelphia will draw a very nice match up tonight, at home, against the Arizona Coyotes. Philly is currently a -180 favorite, with a total of 5.5 (U -105). Vorachek’s speed allows him to create his own shooting opportunities, where he’s piled up 27 shots through 7 games. In addition to his shots on goal, he’ll also play on the first power play unit, which should be able to produce tonight.

Patric Hornqvist – PIT (W) – $5600

If you haven’t gotten the hint yet, we want to target players who can rack up shots on goal. Patric Hornqvist is another one of those players. Through seven games he’s fired 21 shots on goal. Hornqvist always ranks highly in iCorsi/60 and should have upside, given the match up.

Johnny Oduya – DAL (D) – $3200

Johnny Oduya is turning into a household name on my NHL articles, and he hasn’t let us down yet. Oduya has been a notorious shot blocker throughout the years and so far, he has 15 blocks through 6 games. If we can safely assume that Oduya will give us 1.5 points per game on just blocks and shots on goal alone, then he’s an obvious play at only $3200. Don’t expect Oduya to win you a GPP, but consider him when searching for salary relief options in cash games.
