DraftKings NHL Picks: November 3rd

Tonight’s slate features 12 games, with San Jose, Washington, New York (Rangers), and New York (Islanders), having the best projected team totals. I’ll be looking to target players from these teams in cash games, while targeting power play units from Nashville and Pittsburgh. Here are my DraftKings NHL Picks.

EDM vs. NYR (-170), O/U: 5.5

WPG vs. WAS (-230), O/U: 5

TOR vs. BUF (-115), O/U: 5.5

PHI vs. NYI (-149), O/U: 5.5

VAN vs. OTT (-165), O/U: 5.5

NJD vs. FLA (-155), O/U: 5

BOS vs. TB (-155), O/U: 5

STL vs. DAL (-110), O/U: 5.5

COL vs. CHI (-170), O/U: 5.5

NSH (-150) vs. ARI, O/U: 5.5

PIT vs. LA (-105), O/U: 5.5

CGY vs. SJ (-210), O/U: 5.5

Jonathan Marchessault – FLA (W) – $5800

Jonathan Marchessault is severely under priced on DraftKings tonight and makes for one of the best value plays on the slate. Florida will take on the visiting New Jersey Devils, as -155 favorites. Marchessault has the ability to accrue fantasy production from multiple categories. Through 10 games he’s averaging over 1 point per game, in addition to 33 shots on goal. I’ll be rostering Marchessault in all formats.

Chris Kreider – NYR (W) – $6700

Chris Kreider returned to the lineup Tuesday, after missing a few games with a neck injury. He was able to pick up where he left off, as he scored 7 DraftKings points. Kreider currently ranks 10th in the entire leagues in iCorsi/60, at 22.21. These attempts have converted into shots, and therefore fantasy scoring, as he’s averaging over 4.5 shots per game. Kreider did see a dip in his ice time in his return, but hopefully the Rangers were just being cautious in his first game back. Given New York’s projected team total, I’ll be using Kreider in order to get exposure to the blue shirts.

Alec Martinez – LA (D) – $4600

The King’s struggled to produce in their last outing, where they were shutout by the Ducks. They’ll look to bounce back tonight, against the visiting Penguins. Alec Martinez is one of my favorite players to roster in DFS due to his safety from shots on goal and blocked shots. He’s been held off of the score sheet in the last three games, but will be in a favorable spot to change that tonight.

Alex Ovechkin – WAS (W) – $8200

If you’re looking to pay up for a stud skater tonight, look no further than Alex Ovechkin. The Capitals are currently -230 favorites. Given their expected team total, you’ll need to find exposure to the Capitals tonight, and Ovi is the best way to do that.

Logan Couture – SJ (C) – $6400

Similarly to Ovi, Logan Couture is another player that provides a safe floor in cash games, but has tremendous upside given the match up. San Jose is -210, with a total of 5.5 (U – 135). With Couture averaging over 3 shots per game and also playing on the top power play unit, he should be considered in all formats.
