To close out Friday’s World Series parade, the Cubs players and fans sang “Go Cubs Go”.

On Wednesday, the Chicago Cubs won their first World Series championship in 108 years. They closed it out in Cleveland and celebrated in front of the few fans that were left in attendance after the game.

However, on Friday, the city of Chicago celebrated the Cubs’ 2016 World Series victory. They defeated the Cleveland Indians, 4-3 and wrapped up the series. So, the players and fans took to the Windy City to appreciate what had happened and celebrate the franchise’s first World Series since 1908.

Once the players traveled down the streets on the parade buses, the Cubs held a rally for the hundreds of thousands in attendance. This included Jon Lester swearing, Anthony Rizzo getting choked up, and David Ross seemingly becoming the star of this team.

To close out the rally, the Cubs players got together to sing their team’s song, “Go Cubs Go”. The fans in attendance got into it too and sang along in the video below.

This capped off a celebration for the once lovable losers, who are now the champions of the MLB. They got the chance to go wild over something that seemed impossible, but achieved it with overcoming a 3-1 series deficit vs the Indians.

The Cubs now get to celebrate the World Series victory throughout the 2016 offseason. They will then walk into the 2017 season as champions for the first time in most people’s lives. It’s going to make for a unique season with the Cubs as the defending champions, something that they will be predicted to repeat on next fall.
