Anthony DeAngelo – ARI (D) – $2500

Anthony DeAngelo made his presence known immediately, netting a goal in his first game with the Arizona Coyotes. DeAngelo is an offensive defenseman that has produced throughout every level. He was averaging just under a point per game in his 8 AHL appearances with Tucson this year. Given his offensive nature, we can expect DeAngelo to accumulate shots as well as blocks. As if you needed any more convincing for a player at this price point, DeAngelo received 20 minutes in his first outing, showing the faith that the organization has in the young defenseman.

Torey Krug – BOS (D) – $4800

Boston will take on the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets tonight, where they are a -180 favorite. Torey Krug has been a safe fantasy option this year, averaging 2.5 fantasy points, with most coming from shots on goal and blocks (he only has 2 points on the year). Through 13 games, he’s recorded 13 blocks and 45 shots on goal. This is the type of flooring we should be targeting in cash games. Krug will also provide upside, given the matchup and time on the top power play unit.

Patric Hornqvist – PIT (W) – $6600

Patric Hornqvist was my cover boy in my last write-up and he paid off nicely for us. I’ll be going back to the well for more, as Pittsburgh is a home favorite of -175. Hornqvist has one of the highest iCorsi/60 on the slate, at 21.27, ranking him 9th in the entire league. Playing alongside of Sidney Crosby on both the first line and power play, should bode well for the Swedish winger.

David Pastrnak – BOS (W) – $6500

David Pastrnak is a young Bruins’ forward, that may be in the midst of a breakout season. Through 11 games, he’s tallied 9 goals and 4 assists for 13 total points. In addition to his scoring capabilities, he’s currently averaging over 3.5 shots per game. Ideally, we would want a player that also plays on the top power play unit (he plays on the second), but he’ll be a viable option in all formats given his safety and scoring upside.
