More from FanDuel

The first games that will lock down everyone’s lineup tip off at 7:00 PM ET. The Suns are in Indiana to face the Pacers in that time slot while the Hornets take on the Hawks in an matchup of two of the hottest Eastern Conference teams to start the season. At 7:30, the Eastern Conference Champs are in action as they take on the Pistons in “the ‘land.” The three 8:00 games are full of the biggest starts of the night as the Thunder and Russell Westbrook host the Nets, the Blazers visit the Pelicans who may or may not have Anthony Davis, and the Warriors are in Boston to take on the Celtics. At 8:30, the banged-up Mavericks host Memphis while at 9:00 the Nuggets welcome in the Raptors. In the final two games of the night both LA times are in action as the Clippers visit the Kings and the Lakers welcome in the Spurs to STAPLES Center.

One thing to make sure to monitor closely every night of the NBA season is who is playing in back-ot-back games since that can dramatically shift a team’s rotation. Tonight only the Blazers are on the second night of a back-to-back while the Celtics, Hornets, Clippers, Mavericks, Pistons, Warriors, Grizzlies, Pelicans, and Suns are all scheduled to play tomorrow to finish up their weekend back-to-back sets.

With ten games to dive into, there are lots of ways to build a good team for tonight. To help you find the best plays, I’ve put together my favorite fantasy plays on the next few slides in my FanDuel daily picks. My goal each day is to give you the information you need to build your own customized lineup to get you a win however you participate in DFS contests. In order to help you find what you need, I’ve separated my picks by position and price. You’ll find two slides per position–the first slide will feature the best high-salary options followed by some high-value options which cost less but still offer solid returns. Each slide contains at least two options with extras thrown in where possible.

I rank my picks for each contest using stars after each explanation to show the relative strength of the pick. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my personal lineup for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.

Just a reminder that in my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer FanDuel pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy basketball hub.
