Cam Atkinson – CLB (W) – $6200

Columbus will hit the road tonight, to take on the Colorado Avalanche. Columbus is currently a road favorite at -135. While there is some concern that Colorado will be able to control the desirable line match ups, Atkinson is still in a favorable spot playing on the second line and top power play unit. Atkinson leads the Blue Jackets in shots with 66 and will be in play in all formats.

Blake Wheeler – WPG (W) – $6300

Blake Wheeler is an intriguing option tonight, as he’s an elite forward at a discounted price. After Winnipeg’s four game losing streak came to an end, they returned home and got back to normal, picking up two wins. I’d look for more of the same tonight, when they take on the Edmonton Oilers. Wheeler has a safe floor in cash games with his shots on goal (71 in 25 games), but also has upside given the match up and time on the power play.

Alex Pietrangelo – STL (D) – $5100

Alex Pietrangelo makes for a formidable mid range defensive option tonight, playing at home, against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Pietrangelo has been a beast in the peripheral categories, collecting 49 blocked shots, and 58 shots on goal in just 23 games. For only $5100, you’re getting a guy that is playing over 25 minutes per game, in a favorable match up, with power play time.

Patric Hornqvist – PIT (W) – $7300

This is by far the juiciest game on the board tonight, with Pittsburgh sitting as -177 favorites, and a total of 5.5. You can really plug-in any of the top forwards on Pittsburgh in this spot, but I do like Hornqvist a tad bit more tonight. After returning from a concussion, he looked great, skating 17.1 minutes, registering an assist, a block, and 2 shots on goal. If you’re looking to find cheap exposure to Sidney Crosby, Hornqvist is an option as he’ll be staking on the top line along side Crosby, as well as playing on the top power play unit.
