Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott out-jumped teammate Dez Bryant for a football during warmups on Thursday night.
It’s safe to say that the legend of Ezekiel Elliott continues to grow. With Elliott firmly planted in the MVP conversation and the Dallas Cowboys having the best record in the NFL, the rookie running back out of Ohio State has taken the league by storm.
He’s also having fun with his teammates while creating his legend. Before the Cowboys took on the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night, Elliott along with wide receiver Dez Bryant were out warming up on the field ahead of the big game.
That’s when the two decided they were going to have a jump ball drill. With the football coming their way, the mammoth of a running back was able to out-jump one of the best wide receivers in the game and snag the ball with absolute ease.
It might just be warmups and not actual game action, but watching Elliott do crazy things should remind everyone exactly what a freak of nature he is out on the football field. He might be known for running the ball and taking down defenders, but he also has good hands.
Perhaps it’s a sign of things to come for the Cowboys on offense. Maybe Elliott might start becoming more of an outside threat as well. Whatever the case may be, it’s always good to see him and his teammates having fun out on the field before a game. Even Dez Bryant was laughing and had to give the rookie props for making such a sweet grab.
