It’s a busy start to the weekend tonight as the NBA has nine games on tap for this Friday including a nice ESPN double-header. If you’re planning on filling your Friday with some daily fantasy sports NBA action, check out my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides to see who I think you need to consider for your lineup from tonight’s 18 teams.

More from FanDuel

Lineups lock in place tonight at the usual 7:00 PM ET even though the ESPN-featured games don’t get underway until 8:00. At 7:00, the 76ers start off the night by welcoming in the Magic to Philadelphia. Three more games tip off at 7:30–Kings @ Celtics, Lakers @ Raptors, and Timberwolves @ Knicks. ESPN’s double-header starts with the Cavs trying to shake off a two-game losing streak as they visit the Bulls. Also at 8:00, the Pelicans host the Clippers and the Pistons visit Atlanta. In the 8:30 game, the Spurs host Washington, and the night wraps up with a 10:30 tip-off in Denver where the Rockets look to build on last night’s epic, double-OT win in Oakland.

Houston isn’t the only team on the second night of a back-to-back as the Cavs, Clippers, Rockets, and Magic are all in that position. It’s also worth noting that the Hawks, Celtics, Bulls, Nuggets, Lakers, T-Wolves, Sixers, and Raptors all have a game on the schedule for tomorrow as well which could impact their rotation tonight especially if a game starts to get out of control.

With 18 teams on the slate for tonight, there are lots of different ways to assemble your lineup tonight. I’ve selected my favorite options on the next few slides for today’s FanDuel daily picks. My goal each day is to give you the information you need to build your own customized lineup to get you a win however you participate in DFS contests. In order to help you find what you need, I’ve separated my picks by position and price. You’ll find two slides per position–the first slide will feature the best high-salary options followed by some high-value options which cost less but still offer solid returns. Each slide contains at least two options with extras thrown in where possible.

I rank my picks for each contest using stars after each explanation to show the relative strength of the pick. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my personal lineup for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.

Just a reminder that each day in my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy basketball hub.
