The New Day came into WWE Roadblock: End of the Line as the longest-tenured WWE Tag Team titleholders in history on Sunday night. Did the champs retain or did their historic reign end?

To kick off WWE Roadblock: End of the Line on Sunday night, The New Day — the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history — put the titles on the line against the rivals-turned-teammates duo of Sheamus and Cesaro.

Sunday night marked the 483rd day that The New Day reigned over the tag team division since winning the gold for the second time at last year’s SummerSlam.

But, could the Unicorn-horned trio plow through Roadblock for a 484th day as tag team champions?

In the early part of the match, it didn’t look like it. Cesaro and Sheamus came out of the gate quickly, jumping on the champions quickly.

Cesaro made his impact felt as well, drilling a huge uppercut on Kofi Kingston with the assistance of his partner.

The chemistry continued to grow from the challengers with a creative White Noise off the top rope.

But, the champs were the champs coming in for a reason, and didn’t go away lightly. The muscle of The New Day — Big E. — got the trio back into the contest.

Big E. was also able to hit a huge Big Ending on Cesaro, but the Swiss Superman kicked out at two. Cesaro bounced back with a huge counter that almost got us new tag team champions.

The New Day just wouldn’t go away, though. Xavier Woods made an impact not once, but twice, saving the match for his partners.

Woods was able to get Kingston an opening to hit an S.O.S on Sheamus, but the Celtic Warrior kicked out at two. Kingston was able to later hit Trouble in Paradise on Cesaro, but without an official tag from Sheamus, Sheamus quickly went to cover Kingston as the legal man and got the shocking 1-2-3 count for the win and the titles.

One match in on Sunday night, and we’ve got new tag team champions.
