The early Las Vegas odds for Super Bowl LI have the New England Patriots as a slight favorite over the Atlanta Falcons.

With the New England Patriots dismantling the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, Super Bowl LI was all but set. The Patriots will once again be returning to Houston for a Super Bowl and they will take on the Atlanta Falcons.

Even though the AFC Championship Game between the Steelers and Patriots was not over yet, Las Vegas wasted no times releasing their odds for Super Bowl LI. Vic Tafur noted on Twitter that Vegas sees the four-time Super Bowl champs as the slight favorite over Atlanta by laying three points.

While the Falcons’ success came as a surprise to many outside Atlanta this season, their offensive has really grown over the last couple of seasons. Now, they’ll get a chance to try it out against the team that is best at taking away an opponent’s best option.

The spread here is an interesting one, as both of these offenses are likely to put up plenty of points. New England is the favorite as expected, but taking Atlanta and getting three points could be a favorable option for gamblers that feel this is going to be a close game.

Both defenses are going to be tested more than they have all season. The Patriots are going to be the next team that has to deal with Julio Jones while the Falcons will be the next lucky recipient to try and take down Tom Brady in a Super Bowl.

Both of these games dominated their conference championship games and didn’t really show any weaknesses. That usually is the recipe for what should end up being a great Super Bowl. With plenty of blowouts in the playoffs thus far, a good game would be a nice change of pace.
