This past Friday, myself and a few other writers from The Step Back came together on the internet to run a pilot episode of our new game show “Talking the Game.” It’s not a great name for a game show, but I used it as a placeholder, and I didn’t think to change it before everything went too far. Oops. Outside of that and a few flags and snaggles along the way, this was a fun time. Funny enough that we’re going to do it again and do it weekly.

If you’d like to take some of your time to catch up on what you might have missed, there’s a video below of the whole thing! Yeah!

The dancing cow’s name is Tedgar, and he is a nice cow.

The biggest thanks possible to Chris Barnewall, Bryan Toporek, Brandon Jefferson, Michael Chang, Grant Hughes, Ghost Grant, and everyone in the audience who played along. Apologies to Charles Barkley and to Dan Favale for Google Hangouts having limits on participants, unlike that 2Unlimited song “No Limit.” Great song.

This looks to become a regular thing. Scheduling is still being worked out, but there will be another episode this week. Updates on that can be found on Twitter. Starting the Sunday after the Super Bowl we’re hopefully to start going weekly on Sunday evenings.

Again, thanks to everyone who came in. If you’d like to play along with us next time, all you need is a smart phone or a computer with internet access. If you’re not reading this in paper form, you should have at least one of those things. The site is jackbox.tv, and the room code to take you to the place to vote for your favorite answers that will be on the screen. Also, if you have any prompts you’d like us to fight over on the next Talking the Game, let us know! Suggestions, ideas, and criticism are usually good. If they’re not, then that’s okay too.
