Middle-Earth: Shadow of War has officially been announced

Fans of Shadow of Mordor, rejoice! A sequel, Shadow of War, has officially been announced.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor was one of the best games of 2014. So good that it was nominated for game of the year. We’re glad to see that a sequel, Shadow of War, has been announced.

If you’ve played games like Assassin’s Creed or the Batman Arkham series, then Shadow of Mordor is very similar. The combat consists of various combo’s, counters, and intense/ brutal finishes. It’s all very smooth and cinematic.

What’s also interesting is the freedom you have to approach certain situations. You can either go all-out and take out the enemies, or you can go full stealth mode and take them out one by one. It’s really up to you.

The players seemed to enjoy this, along with many other factors in Shadow of Mordor. A sequel isn’t very surprising. We just hope that there’s more of the same, including an all new and interesting story, and a huge world to explore.

We still don’t know all that much about the new game. What we do know is we’ll be playing as the main character, Talion, once again. He will have to face a whole new wave of dangerous enemies, such as Sauron and Nazgul.

Players will also be in the possession of a new weapon, the Ring of Power. The game will be returning to an open-world setting, where players can tackle different missions to their liking.

The Nemesis system is also returning. As you defeat the strong enemies from certain armies, the whole group gets weaker as a whole, which benefits you. Lastly, the personalization and will make its way to the entire world.

Instead of just customizing your own player, the choices you make also effects the area around you. It’s very interesting addition, to say the least.

We expect to see and learn more with a gameplay reveal on March 8. The game will available on August 25, 2017.
