During Friday’s IEM Katowice Counter-Strike quarterfinals, Virtus.pro star Snax crashed the casters desk to deliver a message. Watch the video here.

Friday’s IEM Katowice quarterfinals got a little extra interesting when one of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players in the world decided he was going to crash the casters desk.

Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, from DreamHack Masters Las Vegas winners Virtus.pro, was in the audience to watch the Round of 6 matchup between Astralis and Natus Vincere.

As the teams were coming out onto the stage at Spodek Arena, Snax casually walked up behind casters Lauren “Pansy” Scott and Jason “Moses” O’Toole before borrowing the latter’s microphone to declare his support for Na’vi.

“That’s gonna help,” deadpanned Moses before several members of the Polish crowd broke into a chant for Virtus.pro, their home team.

The moment might have taken the casters by surprise but it’s worth a laugh for CS:GO fans. The rivalry between Astralis and Virtus.pro is one of the hottest pairings in the game after Astralis beat VP to win January’s ELEAGUE Major and then VP knocked Astralis out in the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas playoffs.

Unfortunately Virtus.pro didn’t make it out of the IEM Katowice Group Stage, and Snax’s rallying cry didn’t help Na’vi either. They lost to Astralis in a 2-0 sweep, by the scores of 11-16 on Mirage and 2-16 on Nuke. Astralis now plays Heroic in Saturday’s semifinals.

But hey, what’s a little good-natured ribbing amongst competitors?
