West Brom face Crystal Palace at the Hawthorns on Saturday, March 4. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
West Brom are cruising in eighth place in the Premier League. The Baggies have been excellent this season, maintaining the strong defensive shape that defines all Tony Pulis teams while adding a more cutting edge in attack. They’ve struggled against the league’s top seven, but have been almost unbeatable against everyone else. The last time they lost a league match to a team currently below them in the table was September, when they fell to Bournemouth 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium.
Things have not been going so smoothly for Crystal Palace, who find themselves in 18th place with 12 matches to play. They did, however, take their first big step forward under Sam Allardyce last weekend, beating fellow strugglers Middlesbrough 1-0 at home. That win took the Eagles out of the relegation zone for a whole 48 hours, before Leicester’s win against Liverpool put them right back in it. But the match contained several real positives, not least the performances of January arrivals Mamadou Sakho and Patrick van Aanholt, and could provide the spark a talented squad needs to start climbing up the table.

This is a difficult match to call. West Brom’s record against the lesser teams is exceptional, but they have little to play for at this point in the season. Palace, meanwhile, are desperate for points, and fresh off a confidence-building win.
