Variety map pack announced for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
More remastered maps are coming to Modern Warfare Remastered via the Variety map pack.
Since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered released last year, long time fans are able to revisit arguably the best game in the series. Playing on multiplayer maps like Crash, Backlot and Overgrown is very nostalgic. With a total of 16 maps so far, even more maps will be added later this month.
The Variety map pack is the first to be announced in a press release today. What comes in this DLC are four classic and epic maps that fans love (Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek, and Killhouse).
Broadcast comes from the campaign mission “Charlie Don’t Surf.” The map contains narrow corridors, which makes room for close-quarter combat. However, there’s room for bigger and wide-spread battles.
Chinatown is a district full of neon lights. It’s more of a re-imagining of the original map, Carentan, from Call of Duty. There are many opportunities for intense gun battles, but many areas to cover and camp.
Creek is a very open map. The only thing keeping you from the enemy is a huge ravine. We highly recommend rifles and snipers.
In Killhouse, most of the fights take place in a warehouse. This map is relatively small, so it’ll be very chaotic and full of action. This is the kind of map that most Call of Duty fans will love.
It’s great to see many classic maps making their return to the game. We would love to see new additions, though. Maybe even some other remastered maps from other games. We’re sure they have some ideas.
Next: The Lost Legacy probably the last Uncharted game
The Variety map pack releases on March 21.
