adidas Football And Snoop Dogg Unveiled The “Sunday’s Best” Cleat Collection

The latest and greatest offering from adidas Football and Snoop Dogg comes in the form of the “Sunday’s Best” cleat collection, one of which we covered over the weekend following the unveiling of Snoop’s “Suited N Booted” cleats.

As you can see from the video, lots of big names are on the “Sunday’s Best” train, including Chiefs safety Eric Berry who is most certainly NOT screwing around when it comes to these cleats.

I’m telling you, the over the shoulder cleat look needs to become a thing if it’s not already a thing.

Below are some details from adidas on the new collection:

"Inspired by high-end fashion and the polished look that athletes don as they enter the stadium for game day, the collection showcases the various elements that make up players’ head-to-toe ensembles. From tailored suits, to paisley ties and pocket squares, to custom suit linings, to watch bands, jewelry and dress shoes, the new “Sunday’s Best” cleat collection is built for playmakers and designed to showcase style."

Paisley tie themes and inspiration from pocket squares? Beautiful.

It’s now more or less official that some players will be looking more stylish on the field than other players — hi Carson Palmer! — will look off the field.

In total, there are nine different cleat styles centered around four different themes, all of which are a fashionable spin off the 2017 adizero 5-Star 6.0:

• Gator (aka the Snoop Cleat)
• Paisley (royal blue, red, purple and black)
• Suede (black and white)
• Tux (black and white)

For a much closer look, I present to you the croc-skin purple gators.

As for the Tux cleats, if you remove the spikes from these things I’m pretty sure I just found my new black tie wedding and art show shoes.

The black and white suede set seen below is basically visual proof that cleats and fashionable sneakers are merging into the same lane; quickly.

And now for my personal favorite, the paisley set.

If we’re lucky enough to one day reach the point of paisley jerseys and helmets bedazzled with paisley fabric so as to complete the flashy ensemble, victory is absolutely ours.
