Bournemouth face West Ham at Dean Court on Saturday, March 11. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Bournemouth put in their best performance of the calendar year against Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend. The Cherries started the match terribly, and looked on course for their fifth consecutive league loss after conceding a Marcos Rojo goal in the 23rd minuted. But, with United proving wasteful in front of goal, Eddie Howe’s side equalized from the penalty spot in the 40th minute.
There followed a bizarre clash between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tyrone Mings, in the aftermath of which Andrew Surman was sent off. The Cherries were excellent with 10 men, however, holding the hosts out with 45 minutes of uncharacteristically excellent defending. The point was a much needed boost for a side that had been slipping worryingly close to the relegation zone.
They’ll look to build on that second half performance against West Ham, who are coming off a 2-1 home loss to Chelsea. Slaven Bilic’s side haven’t been in great form of late, having won only one of their past five matches, but Andy Carroll’s return to the line up is a big boost. The Englishman should cause serious problems for the Cherries’ unconvincing defense.
