This time of year is basketball time. During basketball time, basketball happens. Sometimes it sucks.

The NBA has the big piece of the sports pizza right now. The NFL is over, the MLB is still in spring training, and with March Madness about to bring the NCAA Basketball season to its end, the pizza piece is only going to grow. Before you ask, no. I don’t know how pizzas work.

With more eyes on the NBA than at any other point so far this season, the NBA likes to take this opportunity to put more of their marquee matchups on display.

Bam! Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Houston Rockets. Bron versus Beard. MVP candidates clash like two feral cats angry about health care reform.

Boom! Nets vs. Knicks. America’s biggest city eats itself alive trying to sustain any bit of hope for whatever the hell is going on with their franchises.

Kersplode! Spurs vs Warriors. Maybe let’s not talk about that one. Patty Mills is fine.

Unfortunately, with all these flashy boom-bang games happening the other teams have to play other teams. They have to play each other. The Tank Rankings were there.
