The former Buffalo Bills cornerback has reportedly decided to leave to frigid cold of New York for the sunny skies of Los Angeles for the 2017 season.
One of the top remaining free-agents came off the market on Friday thanks to the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams and cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman have reportedly agreed to a contract according to the Los Angeles Times’ Gary Klein.

Robey-Coleman has spent the last four years in the NFL as a member of the Buffalo Bills. During his time in Buffalo, the 5-foot-8 cornerback developed into a significant piece of the team’s defense.
In 2016, he appeared in all of the Bills’ regular season games, started three of them, registered a total of 30 tackles, intercepted two passes, forced one fumble, and deflected seven pass attempts.
He was rumored to have interest from multiple teams around the league since the 2017 free agency period began a few weeks ago. But ultimately, Los Angeles and new head coach Sean McVay were able to convince Robey-Coleman to come and play for their defense.

The cornerback is the fifth defensive free agent the Rams have signed this offseason, joining a group that includes linebacker Connor Barwin and cornerback Kayvon Webster among others. McVay may have been named the team’s head coach for his offensive knowledge, but he and Los Angeles are also making sure the team’s defense undergoes some improvements before next season.
